Job Summary
- A successful candidate in this position will be able to find, develop, and close new sales opportunities on a weekly basis. Must have the mind set that success will come through consistently finding new sales opportunities and not be deterred by rejection.
- Provides courteous, knowledgeable direction to customers regarding the condition of their roof and the ability to help guide a potential customer through the homeowner’s insurance policy claim process.
General Accountabilities
- Ensures full customer satisfaction without unnecessarily referring customer to other staff members.
- Meets customer needs, offers options, resolves problems and follows up with customers.
- Maintains friendly, helpful demeanor.
- Maintains cashiering desk/areas in a clean, organized fashion.
- Complies with all company and department policies and procedures.
- Assists department manager in training new staff.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience required, with 3-5 years preferred; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- High School Graduate.
Competencies
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner
- Knowledge of applicable laws/policies/principles/etc.
- Proficient in the use of a personal computer and corresponding programs
- Attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills and customer service skills required
Physical Demands
- Occasionally required to walk.
- Occasionally required to talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb.
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
- Ability to climb ladder and walk on residential roofs.

- Exposure to outside weather conditions.

- Occasionally assists in training of new employees.
