Job Summary

  • A successful candidate in this position will be able to find, develop, and close new sales opportunities on a weekly basis. Must have the mind set that success will come through consistently finding new sales opportunities and not be deterred by rejection.
  • Provides courteous, knowledgeable direction to customers regarding the condition of their roof and the ability to help guide a potential customer through the homeowner’s insurance policy claim process.

General Accountabilities

  • Ensures full customer satisfaction without unnecessarily referring customer to other staff members.
  • Meets customer needs, offers options, resolves problems and follows up with customers.
  • Maintains friendly, helpful demeanor.
  • Maintains cashiering desk/areas in a clean, organized fashion.
  • Complies with all company and department policies and procedures.
  • Assists department manager in training new staff.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience required, with 3-5 years preferred; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High School Graduate.


  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of applicable laws/policies/principles/etc.
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and corresponding programs
  • Attention to detail
  • Interpersonal skills and customer service skills required

Physical Demands

  • Occasionally required to walk.
  • Occasionally required to talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to bend, lift or climb.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include: close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust or focus.
  • Ability to climb ladder and walk on residential roofs.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to outside weather conditions.

  • Occasionally assists in training of new employees.


  • Ability to follow up on company provided leads, generate referrals and canvassing
